Thanks, Alexa! Trying to stay hopeful that it will get traction over there. Everything's a crapshoot, but at least I'm shooting at something. Even if it turns out to be crap. 😂

No worries about promises. You know I'll send you all the best lines through back channels anyway. 😉

Love all of this! And the felties should definitely be a thing.

Thank you, Wendy! The FELTIES ARE A THING... in my mind. 😊

And thank you for being one of my wonderful first readers. I will always appreciate it!!!

YAY! Thank you, Ben. Hope your heart's ready to get punched in the face. In a good way. 😂

P.S. I know your writing schedule is insane. If you only manage to dip your toe in and then have to bail out, I understand. However, I'm secretly hoping bailing out will be impossible for you once you start reading. So... keep me posted on that. 😉

Congrats! I've never ventured over to Wattpad as a reader or writer, but I'm going to check it out now. Plus, I do have two YA readers in my household who (sometimes) even take my reading suggestions. I'll be passing See Dot Smile to them too! Keep us in the loop with how it's going.

Hey Jason!

Admittedly, I've done very little reading on the platform. It's a wild space, though. Anyone can publish anything over there... and they do. 👀

You read the pitch and likely caught on to the various hints at "intimate situations" in the book, so I won't helicopter parent your parenting, because I DEFINITELY want your kids to read it. But if you have questions at any point about the content, just let me know!

Thanks!

My older kids are 18 (so my input is all strictly advisory now anyways lol) and 16. They’re mature enough to make their own media choices and we have a good relationship so they know they can talk to their mom or me if they encounter stuff that raises questions or makes them uncomfortable. I’ve never really censored stuff, instead I focus on media literacy and general emotional safety and well-being. I figure I want to raise kind, critical thinking adults not obedient drones

This response rules and so does your parenting style.

Give them the book. They'll love it!

I have joined Wattpad and read your story. For some reason it would not let me make a comment, so here it is: "But he is a man. A fully grown man. Packaged for convenient handling and transportation." Why do I find this so damned funny? And why do I feel like you are writing this story just for me? I don't remember my high school clique ever talking like this... but it would have made school so much more fun. For sure.

That was just the prologue and first chapter! I hope you'll tag along for the rest of the ride. Because I DID write it for you, Sharron. 😉 Dot is a hoot. You're going to enjoy her voice very much, I think.

I just saw your comment come through over there, BTW. And thank you!!!

I'll be there. The only character I would be friends with, so far, is Dot. The others remind me too much of people who tormented me in high school. I look forward to the next read.

Excellent. I look forward to changing your heart with respect to ALL of them by the end. ❤️

PS. I found what I did wrong. Wattpad has accepted my comments. (I am 'cowgirlat5' on wattpad.)

Hoping Wattpad doesn't stalk me but glad I can finally read one of your novels so I will venture forth......

Congratulations, Meg!! I’m so excited for you. Best wishes as you roll out your book. I’ve heard of Wattpad but never explored it. I’ll have to check it out!
