Keep up the good everything. You've got what it takes, kid.

Thank you, friend. Hey, can you call me "kid" when you're younger than me? I'm going to answer that question myself. Yes, you can. 😉

Writers write. That's the only thing you have to prove, and you only have to prove it to yourself.

Keep up the great work! Happy half-year anniversary. Looking forward to what comes next.

Thank you, friend. Glad to have you along for the ride. Buckle up.

Yeoooow! I have to sit down. That list makes me sweat. So much done in such a short time! Whatever you are taking, Meg, I need a prescription for it. My best wishes for continued success, kiddo!

Spaced over six months it's less strenuous than when you read it all at once. 😂 And many of those checked boxes were the slow-release variety. Very happy to have you on board, Sharron. Thanks for the wishes!

So glad to have found you. Really impressed by this first 6 months check list.

Thank you, Mary! I've just recently delved into the Authors Corner section of your Substack and am loving it. So much to learn from your writing and publishing experience. I look forward to connecting with you more over there--and over here!

Thank you for reading.

I am excited to see how Wattpad works for you, I delved in briefly, but I think my market of older women (and some men) probably don't do a lot of hanging out there. If you ever want to chat about the whole indie author, self-publishing universe, I'm game.

I write YA almost exclusively, and I've been told Wattpad is driven by teen readers! So, it's my hope that it will be a good fit for my stories. I would love to chat sometime! I'm first going to gobble up the rest of your Authors Corner posts, but I'm sure I'll have questions along the way. Is email the best way to reach you?

I’m new to your newsletter and it’s such a cool idea! For a long time, I’ve wanted to make comics out of stock images but I’ve never made the time for it. I’m excited to read some of your past stories and excited for future stories!

Hi Jason! Welcome. Your Substack idea is so cool, too! I just subscribed!

I may regret sharing this particular post with you, but since you mentioned comics and stock photos... This post lives in the "outlier" realm of what you'll find here most of the time. Sometimes I go rogue and play to the lowest common denominator. 😂https://stockfiction.substack.com/p/greeting-card-series

And here's a palate cleanse if you need it. https://stockfiction.substack.com/p/galaxy-stalking

Thanks! I’ll check these posts out! I love outliers. Hahaha

I've never had subscriber growth goals, nor do I plan to, but I even wonder if sharing my subscriber numbers does much to benefit anyone. I like to tell readers thank you, and I guess it's an excuse to do that, and yet I can do that any time I feel the itch. You've got great engagement, which is better anyhow. It shows people enjoy what you're writing and are committed to being a part of your community... that includes me 😁

About Wattpad, that sounds like a good route. Have you also simultaneously considered an eBook for Kindle for your novel? It would cost you nothing and would get you into another market that is used to reading digitally already. Just a thought. If you have questions about it let me know.

Thank you, Brian. I really appreciate your support and your engagement over here!

I'm going to start with Wattpad. Not certain, but I'm guessing simultaneously publishing in both arenas would be a no-no. Double dipping and all that. But I plan to learn much as I go, so I'll keep Kindle in mind, despite my loathing of all things Amazon. 😂 Nice to know I have you as a resource!

No surprise here: I LOVE THIS PLAN.

Ha! I had to look really closely to see what that emoji was. I thought it was two teapots dancing. But I see now, it's beer mugs clinking. Either way, CHEERS! 😂

Haha! It is a tiny image. Beer, tea, coffee - all fine by me! 😄

And thank YOU, Timothy. I'm growing quite fond of your phonetic emoji spellings. So much so that I will no longer be suggesting their cartoon equivalents in response.

Thank you, Thomas! I just subscribed to Wormhole Stories. See you over there--and here, too!

If you have any must-read posts from your archive, drop me a link in here. It's hard to know where to start playing catchup with a new publication, so I always ask for the greatest hits reel up front. What do you got?

Yeah! Thank you for the sub. There's currently one short story running in my little newsletter, so I recommend you start with scene one. It's a scifi story about a man at risk of losing his wife after an encounter with a mysterious device.
