If we don't indulge ourselves, who will? But, like all things in life, moderation is our friend.

I'll check out that Mother's Day piece. Sounds funny.

Yeah... I courted moderation in earnest for 40 years.

My review: "Meh. It's okay, I guess." 2 stars. And that's me being generous.

Thanks for stopping by. 🙂 Your life coach witticisms are always appreciated.

Oooo poetry, and of the self-indulgent kind to boot! I love it, Meg! I really felt this one, especially with the formatting. Emotional from beginning to end.

Both are you, the veil is just in the middle, and moveable.....

I love this poem! I love how it has the cadence of a horror story. I think everyone should write more poetry. There is something magical about indulging in that kind of writing and thinking from time to time.

Thank you, Jason!

I like the freedom of poetry. And the movement you can create with different structure and formatting.

It feels a bit rebellious for me and I like that part, too😊.

I believe that writing poetry in our world today is a very rebellious, punk rock thing to do!

This is excellent. I to write an eclectic mix of genres. And poetry. My readers haven't strung me up yet. 😉

Thank you so much for reading, Dascha. 💜

Not indulgent at all! Perhaps the poem is a veil for the story underneath...

I loved this poem, Meg! It’s gripping...something about the formatting/structure had me from the first line and didn’t let go. Excellent writing, as usual! We have to indulge every now and then, don’t we?!

I really liked it! I found myself needing to read it a little slower to enjoy the nuance of the positioning of your sentences. It made me think, “who’s behind the veil? I think it’s me?”
