I thought he sounded awfully buttoned down, but those robo voices have gotten a hell of a lot better. I wondered for a moment how you had married such a stiff!
I was on the fence on that, but given your past lives I thought it might be you. It’s really paradoxical that you lean so heavily on stock voices for your decidedly non-stock writing
At the end of the day, I'm not a huge fan of my speaking voice. I did attempt to record the script myself, but TBH, it's actually REALLY hard to deliver that kind of spiel without running out of breath or tripping over words. 😂 The experiment gave me a greater appreciation for voice over professionals. There's a real art to it.
The side effects forgot to mention that while the potent agonist* love may lead to pregnancy, pregnancy definitely leads to children, which are the most powerful antagonists of love ever discovered.
Anyway, great piece! Very funny.
*This is clumsy, but I'm trying to stick with the pharmaceutical metaphor.
You mean you and your wife aren't closer now for having a common enemy?? 😉
Sadly, it takes children teaming up in groups of two or more for them become effective birth control. Otherwise more of us would stop after one. ¯\(°_o)/¯
Thanks for dropping in and getting metaphorical today. 🥂
Awwww, Meg❤️❤️ Hard to write through teary eyes. Love being your friend
You're the best, Chuckles. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!!! 💜💜💜
Who did your male voice?
I don't know him personally. I think his name is Microsoft Christopher Online (Natural) - English (United States)
😉

And you do know the woman's voice is not mine, right?

For years I’d work with voice actors who were narrating all the online training and videos we produced. The good ones were really impressive.
Being married back is the bomb! I got married back, too.
SCORE!
Hey, remember when we were presumed married in that chat thread for 30 seconds because we were bickering so convincingly? 😂 #substackmemories
That's why we have to be so nice to each other now. 🤣
Love is a drug. I particularly loved the side effects.
I think I covered about a third of them. 😂 And of course, I only included the unpleasant ones for commercial effect.
And happy VD to you too, Meg! ❤️
Oh no, that does not look right at all.
Yeah. I'll have to pass on the HVD.
Acronyms take all the fun out of things. 🙄

OMG. I actually learned a few new ones reading that piece!

Is the enemy of my enemy my friend, or my enemy?
An eternal conundrum.
Stop it, you're making me laugh. Love and marriage is a serious business - ask any 💐 seller. 😜
Nothing says "ca-ching" to a florist like a desperate man trying to avoid sleeping in the doghouse. 🌷
This is why I have a cat... 😛
